Getting ready for your visit

Bring your Emirates ID if you're a UAE national or resident, or your passport if you're visiting from abroad. If you have health insurance, bring your insurance card or policy details, and if you're a tourist with travel insurance, bring your travel insurance documentation too.

If you've been referred, bring your referral letter or discharge summary, along with any medical reports relevant to your condition. Having everything ready on the day helps make your registration quick and easy.

If you've been referred

If you've been referred by a doctor outside Mediclinic Middle East, such as your GP, bring your referral letter, any relevant medical reports, insurance details, and identification, such as your Emirates ID or passport. Our administration team will register your referral and arrange the necessary details before your consultation.

For existing Mediclinic Middle East patients referred to another specialist, radiology, or laboratory service within our network, your doctor will send the referral electronically through our shared records system. Our administration team will then contact you to arrange your appointment.

Frequently asked questions

Try to arrive around 15 minutes before your appointment, so there's time to register and settle in. Most facilities register you at reception. Some, including Mediclinic Parkview Hospital, Mediclinic Dubai Mall, and Mediclinic City Hospital, offer kiosk, QR code, or self-check-in options. You'll share a few personal details, and a co-payment may apply depending on your insurance. A nurse checks your vital signs before you see your consultant, and returning patients usually register faster since their details are on file.

What you'll need depends on your status. UAE nationals and residents should bring their Emirates ID, while visitors from abroad should bring their passport and travel insurance documentation. If you have insurance, bring your insurance card or details, plus a referral letter or discharge summary if you've been referred, and any relevant medical reports. If you're bringing a child, a parent or legal guardian must accompany them, as required by UAE law.

The easiest way to change or cancel your appointment is through the Mediclinic App, where you can manage your bookings whenever it suits you. If you'd rather speak to someone, call us on 800 1999 for Dubai, or 800 2000 for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

At most of our facilities, you'll register in person at reception when you arrive. If you're visiting Mediclinic Parkview Hospital or Mediclinic Dubai Mall, you can also check in using a kiosk or QR code, and Mediclinic City Hospital offers self-check-in by QR code for an even quicker start to your visit.

Parking arrangements vary, so check the parking details for the Mediclinic Middle East location you’re visiting ahead of time to help your arrival go smoothly.
