Visitors' Guide
Visiting a loved one should feel comfortable and reassuring. Find practical guidance to help you know what to expect and make the most of your time together.

Arriving as a visitor
When you arrive, enter through the main hospital entrance during visiting hours and make your way to the relevant ward or reception area. Depending on the ward, you may be asked to show identification, sign in, or follow infection prevention steps before visiting.
Visiting hours apply across our inpatient wards, and we typically allow two to three visitors at a time. Age restrictions for younger visitors can vary depending on the ward and the patient's condition, and we may also adjust visiting arrangements based on a patient's medical condition or infection control needs.
Specialist areas, such as intensive care units, neonatal intensive care units, labour and delivery, maternity, and isolation rooms, may have their own procedures and visitor restrictions, so it's worth checking with the ward directly.
Patient privacy and preferences always come first, and our clinical teams work with patients and their families to make sure visiting arrangements suit their circumstances.
What can I bring?
You’re welcome to bring essential personal and comfort items for your loved one, as long as they’re suitable for their condition and in line with hospital guidelines.
For everyone's comfort and safety, please don't bring anything that might disturb other patients or visitors, or food and drinks that haven't been approved by the treating team or dietitian. Sharp or dangerous objects aren't allowed, and electrical items need the hospital's permission first. Also avoid anything that could be a fire, infection, or security risk.
Some areas, like intensive care, neonatal intensive care, and isolation rooms, work a little differently. Your ward team will let you know if there’s anything else you need to be aware of.
While you're here
Free wi-fi is available across all our facilities. Amenities including cafés, gift shops, and prayer rooms vary by facility, so it's worth confirming what's available ahead of your visit. Parking, valet, and drop-off arrangements vary by facility as well, so check the page of the Mediclinic Middle East facility you're visiting for the specific details.
Our facilities are designed with accessibility in mind, including wheelchair-accessible entrances and routes, accessible parking, and lift access throughout our hospital buildings. If you need additional help, contact the facility before you visit so we can support your specific requirements.
If you need to speak to us before or during your visit, whether to check on a patient or confirm details for a specific ward, call 800 1999 for Dubai or 800 2000 for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. When you arrive, our reception team will also be on hand to point you in the right direction.
