Our Specialist

The Pulmonology and Respiratory Care Department is led by Dr. Muhammad Arif, Consultant Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine and Head of Department at Mediclinic Al Ain and Al Jowhara hospitals.

Dr. Arif is a British-trained Consultant in Respiratory Medicine. He has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex respiratory diseases, interventional bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing and sleep medicine. He is also Assistant Professor of Medicine at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University, reflecting his commitment to academic excellence, clinical research and the education of future physicians.

His clinical interests include asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary infections, pleural diseases, bronchoscopy and sleep-disordered breathing.
