Obstetrics and Gynaecology
The gynaecologist is the specialist for the female sexual organs who conducts regular preventative medical checkups, such as smear tests of the cervix (the mouth of the womb) and breast screening, advises a woman of all ages on questions of contraception, infertility and problems with the menopause.
The obstetrician is concerned with everything to do with pregnancy, advises and examines future mothers during this period of their lives and is generally responsible for what goes on during the birth. With the appropriate surgical training – if necessary – carries out a caesarean section. After the birth, a gynecologist advises the mother after she has given birth, and addresses any other medical issues a patient may have.
Our doctors experience also includes management of obstetric and gynaecological emergencies, basic and advanced surgical skills in open and laparoscopic surgery including minor gynecological surgeries, hysterectomy, hysteroscopy, and various laparoscopic procedures such as salpingectomy, ovarian cystectomy etc.
Our doctors are affiliated at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital for deliveries and surgeries.
