Dr. Maryam manages high-risk pregnancy and birth, from multiple pregnancies and difficult labour to water birth and natural delivery with protection of the pelvic floor and perineum. Volume matters in keyhole surgery, and she has performed more than 5,000 laparoscopic and open procedures, including hysterectomy, endometriosis surgery, and complex pelvic floor reconstruction for prolapse and incontinence. Trained in Oxford, serving in the Silver Star high-risk maternity unit, she led the SIMS multicentre trial and teaches as an associate professor with Oxford Brookes University.
