- Dr. Lucy graduated from the University of Manchester UK, with honours in Paediatrics. Her Postgraduate training in Infectious Diseases was completed at the University of Oxford, UK.
Dr. Lucy has over 12 years’ experience in clinical paediatrics. The majority of her training has been undertaken in specialist children’s teaching hospitals within the UK, where she worked within the following sub-specialities: immunology and infectious diseases, gastroenterology, respiratory, emergency medicine, critical care (including neonatal intensive care) and oncology. After completing CCT in paediatrics Dr. Lucy was appointed as consultant paediatrician at the renowned Alder Hey Children’s hospital, one of the largest children’s hospitals with the busiest paediatric emergency department in Europe. During this time, she managed a wide range of paediatric conditions and worked collaboratively with subspecialists in areas such as metabolic medicine and neurology. She was also the lead for the development of children’s outpatient services. She has been clinical supervisor for paediatricians in training and was responsible for teaching medical students from the Universities of Liverpool and Oxford.
Dr. Lucy has been involved in clinical research, particularly in infectious diseases, having presented at the European Society of Infectious Diseases and contributed to publications informing national guidelines.
She treats acute and chronic paediatric conditions including childhood infections, asthma, viral induced wheeze, abdominal pain and constipation and nutritional deficiencies, as well as assessing growth and development, dealing with infant feeding problems and managing children with complex needs.
