Summary
As of Nov 2019, Dr. Fatmah became the first and only Emirati neurologist who has dual training in stroke and neuromuscular medicine.
She is also the only female Emirati physician who is American trained and certified as a stroke neurologist.
Dr.Fatmah Al-Zahmi graduated from UAE Univeristy, then went to the USA and Canada for further training. She is American board certified in both Internal Medicine and Neurology. She has undertaken further fellowship training in two neurology subspecialities, Vascular Neurology (i.e. strokes) and Neuromuscular Neurology. Dr.Fatmah is passionate about these two domains of Neurology and is looking forward to providing the latest international standard care for this patient population in the UAE.

Dr.Fatmah is particularly interested in stroke in young patients, including children, stroke in women, neurological complications of medical conditions and inflammatory myopathies. She conducts nerve conduction studies, electromyography (muscle studies) and Botox injection for migraine.
