Travel vaccine
Travel health advice, vaccinations, and practical preparation based on where you’re going, what you’ll be doing, and your health needs.

Plan around your trip
The vaccinations and health advice you need depend on your age, itinerary, planned activities, previous vaccinations, and the health risks in each country you’ll visit.
A travel consultation can review these factors alongside any existing medical conditions or medicines, so you know what to arrange before you leave.
Vaccinations and preventive medicines
Mediclinic Middle East’s travel health services include annual flu vaccination, vaccinations needed for Umrah, and a range of general travel vaccinations available at many facilities.
Vaccinations include:
- Diphtheria
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Human papillomavirus (HPV)
- Measles
- Meningococcal disease
- Mumps
- Pertussis
- Pneumococcal disease
- Rotavirus
- Rubella
- Seasonal influenza
- Tetanus
- Typhoid fever
Malaria prophylaxis can also form part of travel preparation.
Yellow fever and oral cholera vaccines
If you need a yellow fever or oral cholera vaccine, Mediclinic Middle East will refer you to a government facility.
Before you travel
Depending on your trip and health needs, a pre-travel consultation can include:
- A travel risk assessment
- Review and optimisation of existing medical conditions and medicines
- Fitness-to-fly certification where needed
- A vaccination and immunisation plan
- Advice on where to access suitable medical care during your trip
- Advice on avoiding mosquito and other arthropod-borne diseases
- Guidance on symptoms that need medical attention
- Medicines or travel health supplies where appropriate, such as malaria prevention, antibiotics, loperamide, insect repellent, or mosquito nets
If you become unwell after travel
Post-travel follow-up is available if you develop new symptoms after you return. Tell your doctor where you travelled and when your symptoms started so they can assess what may need further investigation.
