Care that follows your pregnancy

Your maternity care can begin as soon as your pregnancy is confirmed and continue after you and your baby leave hospital. Regular antenatal appointments help monitor your health and your baby’s development, with routine tests and screening such as ultrasound and blood tests. Genetic testing can also be offered when there is a higher risk that needs further assessment.

Our obstetricians care for both routine and high-risk pregnancies and can recommend an antenatal plan based on your health and pregnancy.

Support before, during, and after birth

Preparing for birth

Mediclinic Middle East hospitals offer free antenatal classes, as well as antenatal unit tours, open days, and information sessions. You can also arrange your hospital stay once your pregnancy is confirmed.

During your hospital stay

Midwives and obstetric teams work with specialist gynaecologists and paediatricians. Water birth is available in selected units, and all Mediclinic Middle East hospitals have advanced neonatal intensive care units if your baby needs specialist care.

After birth

Postnatal follow-up can take place in hospital, and home visits by a midwife can also be arranged. Support can include breastfeeding help from qualified lactation consultants, monitoring for postnatal depression, and checks for postpartum complications.

Maternity packages

Maternity cash packages bring together selected care across pregnancy, delivery, and the postnatal period. Depending on the package, this can include antenatal check-ups, diagnostic tests, midwife consultations, childbirth preparation, and breastfeeding support, with pricing set out in advance.

Options can include routine care, advanced screening, and emotional or physical support. Packages are available for Dubai and for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Call 800 2033 if you need help choosing the right option.
