- Diagnosis- Examining a patient's medical history followed by assessment of the condition of the heart, lungs, ears, nose, throat, blood pressure and obtaining samples for laboratory tests to diagnose the patient's case
- Treatment- Prescribing appropriate medications and performing remedial procedures for various cases such as infectious, respiratory, cardiac, renal, gastrointestinal and neurological diseases
- Referrals- Referring patients to the appropriate specialists according to the patient's condition
- Advising- Suggesting alternative treatment plans and advising on lifestyle modification plans
- Preventative Care- Annual checkups to ensure that the patient is healthy and meeting the medical standards of his age, weight and gender
- Responding to medical/health problems presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate:
- referring patients to the relevant departments and assessments such as laboratory and radiology;
- prescribing or administering treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialised medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality
- Commissioning healthcare by liaising with medical professionals in the community and hospitals
- Organising preventative medical programs for individual patients
- Providing specialist clinics for specific conditions
- Keeping up to date with medical developments, new drugs, treatments and medications, including complementary medicine and interactive medicines
