- Dr. Shareef Tholoor has over 20 years of clinical experience, including over 15 years in Gastroenterology in the UK and UAE. Prior to moving to UAE in 2016, he worked at the prestigious St Mark's Hospital, London, a WHO recognised 'world centre of excellence' in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Shareef is proficient in treating common gastrointestinal disorders and is an expert endoscopist skilled in procedures including upper GI endoscopy (gastroscopy), lower GI endoscopy (ileoscopy, colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy), enteroscopy, anoscopy, video capsule endoscopy, esophageal pH studies and transient elastography (Fibroscan) among others.
Dr. Shareef has regularly presented and published at international meetings and conferences and has over 10 peer-reviewed publications in leading medical journals.
In addition to applying his clinical expertise, Dr Shareef believes in taking a holistic approach when treating his patients, taking into consideration their diet, lifestyle, and psycho-social factors.
