Aesthetic Gynaecology

Aesthetic gynaecology is elective care for the vulva and vagina. People choose it for comfort, function or appearance. We offer both surgical and non-surgical options, and every decision stays yours to make. Concerns such as changes after childbirth or menopause bring many people to us.
What is aesthetic gynaecology?
Aesthetic gynaecology covers elective procedures that change the vulva or vagina. The reasons are personal, and none has to be medical. Some come to us after childbirth or around menopause, when tissues feel different. Others simply don't like the look or feel of an area. The vulva varies widely from person to person, and there's no single normal. Aesthetic gynaecology differs from urogynaecology, which treats prolapse and incontinence as medical conditions.
Is aesthetic gynaecology right for you?
Aesthetic gynaecology is for you if you're weighing a change and want to understand your options. There's no need to have a medical problem. People often come to us with:
- Vaginal laxity or a feeling of looseness, often after childbirth
- Dryness or discomfort, including during sex
- Discomfort from the labia during exercise or in tight clothing
- Questions about the size, shape or colour of the labia
- Mild leakage of urine when you cough, laugh or exercise
Some of these are about comfort or function, others are about appearance, and both are valid reasons to ask. If mild leakage or discomfort is your main concern, urogynaecology or general gynaecology may suit you better, and we can help you find the right door. It's completely fine to come only for information and reassurance, and to leave it there. Whatever you decide, the choice is entirely yours, and there's never any pressure to go ahead.
What to expect
Your first visit is a conversation. We'll ask what's bothering you, examine the area if you're comfortable with that, and talk through what is and isn't likely to help. For many people, this visit is mainly reassurance: the anatomy is healthy and within the normal range. Nothing is decided on the day. If you'd like to go further, we'll explain each option honestly, including what it can't do.
Treatment paths range from non-surgical options, such as fillers or energy-based treatments, to surgery like labiaplasty (reshaping the inner labia). Wanting a change for how you feel and wanting one for how you look are both ordinary. Where the evidence for a treatment is limited, we'll say so plainly. Your specialist explains the choices, the recovery and the risks, then you decide together what happens next, if anything.
Aesthetic gynaecology at Mediclinic
At our Dubai hospitals, our gynaecologists offer aesthetic gynaecology within women's health care. They carry out surgery. We also provide non-surgical care, and we treat each visit as a personal and private decision. Options like fillers, platelet-rich plasma and energy-based treatments are available too, with recovery and risks explained honestly first. These conversations stay confidential. Where a concern is really about prolapse or incontinence, we can point you to our urogynaecology and general gynaecology teams. Menopause care sits alongside this work, and any packages appear elsewhere on the page.
