- Experience
- Maria graduated in 2006 from the University of Lancaster in the UK and has extensive experience working in both the NHS and in private practice. Her main focus is on orthopaedic conditions such as neck, shoulder, back and pelvic pain in addition to pregnancy related musculoskeletal issues that she has managed during nearly 20 years’ working as a pelvic health physiotherapist. She is passionate about educating and empowering both men and women on the management of conditions such as bladder and bowel incontinence (stress, urgency, frequency, over active bladder and prolapse), postnatal pelvic floor and diastasis rehabilitation and pelvic, sacroiliac joint, coccydinia and pubic pain.
She holds an Advanced Diploma in Women's Health from the Herman & Wallace Institute (USA) and has attended a number of postgraduate pelvic health courses in both the UK and Dubai. She is qualified in and practises dry needling techniques for multiple conditions and has completed the Postgraduate Orthopaedic Manipulative and Manual Therapy (OMT) course. She is also a qualified APPI Pilates instructor and uses all these skills in her practice.
