Summary
Dr. Kalmar graduated from the University Medical School of Pecs, Hungary in 1997. She undertook basic surgical training in Hungary at the Department of Surgery, University of Pecs and in Scotland, United Kingdom Lanarkshire NHS trust hospitals. She undertook visceral surgical training in Hungary at the Department of Surgery University of Pecs and a Coloproctology fellowship (honorary fellowship 2010, RSO 2012) at St Mark’s Hospital and Academic Institute, London, United Kingdom.
She is competent in an extensive range of general surgical procedures from gastric cancer surgery to anti reflux operations, from laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery to haemorrhoids, from thyroid surgery to appendicectomy, from laparoscopic hernia repair to ventral patch for umbilical hernia etc., but has decided to focus mainly on the diseases of the anorectum and pelvic floor and performs mainly colo-proctological procedures.
