- Summary
- I am a Consultant in Maternal–Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynaecology with over 28 years of clinical and leadership experience across the UAE and Ireland. Since July 2026, I have been practising at Mediclinic Al Jowhara Hospital in Al Ain and Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Mediclinic, I worked as a Consultant in Maternal–Fetal Medicine at Kanad Hospital, Al Ain. Before this, I spent more than a decade at Corniche Hospital, Abu Dhabi, a major tertiary maternity and fetal medicine centre, where I served as Chair/Head of Obstetrics & Gynaecology from 2018, combining departmental leadership with an active practice in fetal medicine and high-risk obstetrics.
I completed my postgraduate specialist training in leading tertiary maternity centres in Ireland and subsequently worked at consultant level before relocating to the UAE. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG), with advanced training in Maternal Medicine, Obstetric Ultrasound, Fetal Assessment and Labour Ward Management & Leadership.
My special interests include prenatal diagnosis and fetal anomalies, high-risk pregnancy, maternal medicine, fetal growth restriction, multiple pregnancy, particularly monochorionic twins, preterm birth prediction and prevention, cervical assessment, genetic screening and counselling, advanced obstetric ultrasound and invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures. I established and led a dedicated Preterm Prevention Clinic and have extensive experience managing complex pregnancies within multidisciplinary teams.
I also have a strong interest in clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement, medical education and mentorship. In July 2026, I completed an MSc in Healthcare Management at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), further strengthening my expertise in healthcare leadership, governance and organisational improvement.
