Summary
Dr Brambilla graduated in 1998 from the University of Milan, Italy and obtained the Qualification of Specialist in Internal Medicine in 2004. During his training, he has experienced a few months in France in Respiratory Medicine. As a Specialist Consultant in Acute and General Medicine he has worked at the Niguarda Hospital of Milan for five years. He moved to the UK in 2009 to work at St Thomas’ Hospital, to become a Consultant in 2012 at the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he was the Clinical Service Lead for Acute Medicine. He then joined the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2017. Dr Brambilla has published many articles in international peer reviewed journals regarding the management of acute recurrent pericarditis. He has an interest in Clinical Education and is currently completing a Master’s at The King’s College London.
His experience and exposure to different professional environments have resulted in a sound confidence in diagnostic reasoning when symptoms don’t fit within the boundaries of subspecialities, as well as in dealing with co-morbidities (complex medical problems and multiple conditions) and recognising when speciality opinion or care is required.
