- Dr. Sadiya Hussain is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with 15 years of clinical experience, specialising in obstetrics, urogynaecology and menopause care. She is an accredited specialist and trainer with the British Menopause Society, and a respected figure in the management of complex pelvic floor disorders.
Dr. Hussain is recognised for her holistic, patient-centred approach and her clinical leadership in advancing care for women in midlife and beyond. Dr. Hussain graduated with distinction from King's College London School of Medicine and completed her final-year specialty training in urogynaecology and menopause care at King's College Hospital, one of the UK's leading tertiary referral centres. She went on to serve for five years as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at St Peter's Hospital in Surrey, where she was the Lead for the Menopause Service. Under her leadership, the service grew into a trusted regional centre of excellence for menopause care.
In urogynaecology, Dr. Hussain has extensive experience in both medical and surgical management of pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, bladder pain syndromes and recurrent urinary tract infections. Her surgical repertoire includes vaginal hysterectomy, laparoscopic surgery, pelvic floor repair, sacrocolpopexy, colposuspension and advanced surgery for stress incontinence and overactive bladder. She works within a multidisciplinary pelvic floor team, ensuring a comprehensive and tailored treatment pathway for each patient.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr. Hussain has a strong commitment to education and professional development. She has served as a training committee member for the British Society of Urogynaecology (BSUG) and faculty for the RCOG's Train the Trainer programme. She was also the Lead for Training and Simulation at St Peter's Hospital, where she oversaw the educational development of trainees and junior doctors.
Dr. Hussain has presented her work at both national and international conferences and has contributed to the field through peer-reviewed publications. She is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), British Menopause Society (BMS), and British Society of Urogynaecology (BSUG).
