Summary
Dr Ali Aldibbiat is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London and Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in the UK and is accredited in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Obesity by the General Medical Council in the UK. His PhD work on Islet Cell Transplantation and Stem Cell therapy for diabetes underpinned the National Health Service funded Islet Transplantation Program for people with type 1 diabetes in the UK.
He has over 21 years of clinical experience in different healthcare settings in the UK and Middle East. He has special interest in Obesity management, and application of technology in the management of diabetes including insulin pumps and closed loop systems (also known as Artificial Pancreas). He has numerous publications in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and has presented his work at regional, national and international conferences. He is the External Examiner for the Postgraduate Degrees in Diabetes at South Wales University in the UK. He features frequently on regional TV and Radio stations.
Dr Ali is a strong believer in patient-centred care, and that patients and doctors are partners in patent’s care journey.
