Dr Aikaterini Vakali is Interventional Breast Radiologist receiving her training from Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) - Lausanne, Switzerland.
She obtained her Ph.D.: Medical Doctor (with Honours) in Aristotel University of Thessaloniki, Greece (PhD/ Dr) with Thesis : “The significance of color Doppler ultrasound in the detection of solid masses of the breast”.
Her Medical degree & Radiology training (2004) was nominated from Aristotel University of Thessaloniki- Greece with supplementary training in multiple countries in EU (UK, Portugal, Switzerland)
She take on the position of Head of Department in Genesis Hospital , Thessaloniki Breast Radiology Department Genesis Clinic/ Breast Center in 2004 till arriving in Dubai 2013.
Arriving in Dubai, 2013 become part of the first dedicated breast imaging unit at Mediclinic City Hospital,
Founding Member of the Hellenic Society for Early Diagnosis & Therapy of Breast Cancer
She has strong interest in education and research as she is involved in medical student teaching and student research projects through the Mohammed Bin Rashid University & in the past she was sscientific correspondent in AHEPA University Hospital Responsible for breast imaging.
