Dr. Amin is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 30 years of medical experience and extensive specialist training in the United Kingdom. He graduated in 1995 and completed his initial medical training in Sudan before undertaking specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK, obtaining the MRCOG, DFFP, CCST and FRCOG qualifications.
Between 2000 and 2007, Dr. Amin trained at several hospitals across the UK, including tertiary centres in Belfast, Brighton and London, gaining advanced expertise in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery and learning from specialists across different areas of the field. In 2007, he was appointed Consultant and Lead Minimal Access Gynaecological Surgeon at the Royal Gwent Hospital and Aneurin Bevan University Health Board in Newport, where he developed services in advanced minimally invasive surgery, endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain.
Dr. Amin moved to the UAE in 2015 to contribute to the opening of Danat Al Emarat Hospital, where he helped establish advanced minimally invasive surgery and develop gynaecology services while supporting obstetric care. In 2026, he joined Mediclinic Middle East, where his practice includes advanced endometriosis, minimally invasive surgery, chronic pelvic pain, reproductive surgery and complex obstetrics and high-risk pregnancy.
His clinical expertise includes advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, complex gynaecological surgery, uterine fibroids and reproductive surgery. He also has a strong interest in medical education and specialist training, contributing to postgraduate and residency programmes.
Dr. Amin believes in maximising the value of every clinical consultation, with a focus on personalised care, one-stop assessment and avoiding unnecessary investigations or interventions whenever possible.
