Summary
Dr. Dana Haddad is the UAE’s only American Board‑Certified Consultant Breast and Interventional Radiologist with over a decade of international clinical, academic, and research experience in breast imaging and cancer diagnosis.

She completed advanced subspecialty fellowship training in Breast and Body Imaging at the world‑renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, following residency training in Diagnostic Radiology in New York and earlier surgical training at the Mayo Clinic. In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Haddad holds a PhD in Cancer Biology and Imaging, with research focused on the development of novel imaging and therapeutic approaches for cancer.

Dr. Haddad previously served as Assistant Professor and attending radiologist at leading academic institutions in the United States including Montefiore Medical Centre and Northwell Health in New York. During this time she was involved in clinical practice, academic teaching, translational oncology research and the development of innovative imaging strategies for cancer detection and management.

Since relocating to Dubai, Dr. Haddad has played an important role in advancing breast imaging services in the region. She has held senior leadership positions including Head of Breast Imaging and Deputy Chief of the Breast Cancer Centre, contributing to the development of comprehensive breast imaging programs and multidisciplinary breast cancer care.

Her clinical expertise spans multimodality breast imaging including mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, ultrasound, MRI and contrast‑enhanced mammography, as well as minimally invasive image‑guided breast interventions including ultrasound‑guided, stereotactic and MRI‑guided biopsies.

Dr. Haddad has authored numerous peer‑reviewed publications and book chapters in oncology and breast imaging and has presented her work at international conferences. She is actively involved in clinical research, physician education and regional training initiatives, particularly in areas such as personalised breast cancer screening, advanced breast biopsy techniques and the integration of artificial intelligence into breast imaging.

She is deeply committed to improving women’s health and advancing early detection of breast cancer through evidence‑based screening strategies, patient education and the development of high‑quality breast imaging services across the UAE and the wider region.
