- Dr. Naushahi is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital and an Honorary Senior (Clinical) Lecturer & Chief Investigator for the “BT4BT” Trial in the UK. Following graduation from the University of Nottingham he completed his core surgical training in the UK that included neurosurgical appointments at Edinburgh, Oxford and London. He was subsequently awarded an PhD in Functional (deep brain stimulation) neurosurgery from Imperial College London prior to completing his higher surgical training (residency) in neurosurgery from Cambridge as the first Muslim having been ranked first at national selection. He further completed a prestigious fellowship in paediatric neurosurgery from Australia before being appointed Consultant at Cambridge, Suffolk and Bahrain.
Dr. Naushahi remains a keen educator having served as faculty on BSc, MSc and Fellowship examination courses. Most recently, he has supported education, training and improving healthcare standards as Clinical Supervisor & Tutor with the Cambridge Clinical School, as Director of Studies (Neurosurgery), Medical Schools in Difficulty (MSID) and Mentor to UK & International Medical Students.
