Dr Paula Shimmons is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 15 years of experience in the UK National Health Service, including more than two years working as a Consultant. She provides comprehensive obstetric care alongside a strong focus on general gynaecology and women’s health.
She has a specialist interest in gynaecological oncology and has worked within gynaecological cancer centres in London. Her experience includes cancer screening and diagnostics, management of pre-invasive disease, and surgical care for early-stage gynaecological cancers, working closely with multidisciplinary specialist teams.
Her broader clinical practice encompasses general and acute gynaecology, benign and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, outpatient diagnostic procedures, hysteroscopy, vulval and cervical disease management, early pregnancy care and comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal obstetric care. She is committed to patient-centred care, clear communication, and shared decision-making.
