Dr. Wael Hosni is a German board certified Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with special expertise in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, urogynecology, pelvic floor reconstruction and advanced laparoscopic procedures. He is internationally recognised for his work in vNOTES (Vaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery) and was among the first surgeons to introduce and establish vNOTES surgery in Germany before introducing the technique to the UAE in 2022. Dr. Hosni is also an SRC accredited Surgeon of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgery.
He currently serves as Vice President of the Emirates Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society and previously served as Group Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Director of the Centres of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgery at two leading private hospitals in Dubai prior to joining Mediclinic Parkview Hospital.
Dr. Wael has extensive experience in the management of complex gynaecological conditions including fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic organ prolapse and female urinary incontinence. He also provides comprehensive obstetric care including management of high-risk pregnancies, vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections with a strong focus on individualised patient centred care.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Wael is an active international speaker, surgical trainer and faculty member at regional and international congresses and hands on surgical workshops. He is actively involved in clinical research and has contributed to numerous scientific publications and international presentations in the fields of minimally invasive gynaecology, urogynecology and surgical innovation. His practice combines evidence based medicine, advanced surgical innovation and compassionate women centred care.
