He is a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Dr. Nahar completed a Fellowship in Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery at Mater University Hospital in Dublin, Ireland, as well as a Fellowship in Cornea and External Diseases at Inselspital, University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland.
