Dr Mehmood Zeb has more than 18 years experience of cardiovascular medicine in the United Kingdom. He has trained and worked in the state-of-the-art, high volume, internationally renowned tertiary care University Hospitals in the UK, including Manchester University Hospital, Southampton University Hospital and Nottingham University Hospital. He has been practising as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Manchester University Hospital United Kingdom and Northern Lincolnshire NHS Foundation Trust United Kingdom, where he was engaged in treating complex cases of interventional cardiology including multivessel PCI, complex bifurcation PCI, Rotablation, IVUS, OCT, OFDI, CTO PCI, and also supervising and training interventional cardiology fellows.
Dr Mehmood Zeb is U.K Board Certified (CCT) in Interventional Cardiology and GIM. He is qualified as PhD Cardiology (Res) from University of Southampton United Kingdom and has the Membership of Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) United Kingdom. Dr Mehmood Zeb has Certification of British Society of Echocardiography accreditation U.K and Certification of European Examination in General Cardiology.
He completed his General Physician Training from Southampton University Hospital U.K, and achieved a prestigious National Training Number (NTN) England, Wessex Deanery, through an open competition for a structured specialist training in Interventional Cardiology, General Cardiology and GIM leading to award of CCT-UK Cardiology and CCT-UK GIM.
He also achieved a fully funded research fellowship through an open competition in the UK. He was awarded Ph.D. by University of Southampton for successful completion of academic and research work. His research work has led to the development of new methods for the management of ischaemic heart diseases and prevention of sudden cardiac death, which has been published and cited in high impact international peer reviewed journals. He was awarded several competitive research grants, scholarships, and travel bursaries for his scientific work. Dr Zeb has published more than 30 high quality articles including book chapters in high impact peer reviewed international journals (details below) and has presented his work at several international conferences in U.K, USA and Europe (Details below).
He achieved a prestigious interventional cardiology fellowship at Royal Bournemouth University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust UK through an open competition, which is internationally known high volume PCI centre of excellence, where he was fully trained and signed off for all types of complex coronary interventions.
