Dr. Prashant Bhatia is an established specialist ophthalmologist in the UAE with a special interest in Glaucoma. He qualified from the Operation Eyesight Universal Institute of Ophthalmology, MAHE, Manipal, India and subsequently completed a glaucoma fellowship from the L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India & a Surgical fellowship in phacoemulsification at The Rotterdam Eye Hospital, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
He was one of the first two doctors worldwide to be recognized with the International Ophthalmologist Education Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 2006. In 2010 he received the International Ophthalmologist Scholar Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology To his credit, Dr. Bhatia has a number of international publications and presentations and has been moderator, guest lecturer and a peer reviewer for various scientific bodies.
