- Dr. Shafeek Kiblawi is a Consultant Emergency Physician and Head of Department of the Emergency Department at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital. He has specialized training in Emergency Medical Services and Disaster Medicine. Before pursuing medicine, he worked as a firefighter and paramedic in the United States. He completed medical school at the American University of Beirut, followed by two years of work in disaster management, and then completed his Emergency Medicine residency at the American University of Beirut Medical Center.
Dr Kiblawi moved to Dubai in 2019 and joined Mediclinic Parkview Hospital, where he has been practicing emergency medicine since. He is the recipient of the Emirates Doctor Award 2024, serves as an instructor in ATLS and the DHA’s Disaster Readiness Program, and was Medical Commander for multiple Galant Knight 3 evacuation missions from Gaza under the DOH. He has multiple peer-reviewed publications, including first-author work, and has presented at multiple conferences in the USA, UAE, and internationally.
