Ms. Shimaa has more than 15 years of clinical experience from different facilities in the United Arab Emirates before moving to Mediclinic Parkview Hospital as a Diabetes Educator in 2020. Ms. Shimaa served in different hospitals in government as well as private sectors in Dubai. She worked in the DHA as a diabetes case manager and educator till 2015, and then Diabetes center of excellence manager in American Hospital, Dubai. She provides structured and comprehensive education to all types of diabetic patients. She is also an expert in insulin and new non-insulin injectable medications, safe injection techniques and dose adjustments. She provides guidance and home survival skills in recognising and managing low and high blood sugar levels. She has actively participated in Quality audits, Clinical Education, and as a speaker at Endocrine and Nursing conferences.
