Summary
Dr Andy Fearnley is a highly experienced consultant anaesthetist with almost two decades of clinical practice across leading centres in the UK and Middle East. He joins Mediclinic Parkview Hospital from Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Dr Fearnley graduated with first class honours from the University of Cambridge in 2000 before undertaking his clinical training at Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital, London.
He was elected Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2009. He pursued advanced training fellowships in liver transplant and hepatobiliary anaesthesia at King’s College Hospital, as well as thoracic and airway anaesthesia at Guy’s Hospital and intensive care medicine at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. This advanced subspeciality training shaped his expertise in complex surgical care.

From 2014 to 2018 Dr Fearnley served as a consultant anaesthetist at Guy’s Hospital, London, where he was clinical lead for kidney and kidney-pancreas transplantation and medicine safety. He anaesthetised for the first UK robotic kidney transplants in 2017.
In 2018 he relocated to Abu Dhabi, joining Sheikh Khalifa Medical city where he worked across a wide range of paediatric and adult anaesthetic specialities.

Dr Fearnley moved to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in 2021 bringing extensive expertise to this tertiary medical facility. He was awarded the teacher of the year award at Cleveland Clinic in 2023. Dr Fearnley is recognised for his broad clinical experience, leadership roles and deep commitment to delivering safe, patient-centred perioperative care.
