Summary
Dr. Shebeen Hamza began his Anaesthesia training in India in 2001 and completed his thesis for the award of an MD degree in 2004. He then proceeded to complete his basic Anaesthesia training from the West Yorkshire School of Anaesthesia, Bradford and higher training from the West of Scotland School of Anaesthesia in Glasgow, UK in 2012. He was awarded the fellowships of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine, UK.

After attaining his certificate of completion of training (CCT), he served as a substantive consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive care in Queen Elizabeth hospital in Gateshead, Newcastle, UK. His special interests include Intensive care, Regional anaesthesia and teaching. He was the clinical lead for Clinical Governance in Intensive Care and was involved in postgraduate teaching.

Dr. Hamza has completed several audits and poster presentations at international and national meetings/conferences. He has been an invited speaker and faculty in national conferences and workshops. He is an international FCCS course instructor for SCCM. He has been the course director in a variety of national conferences including simulation workshops on crisis management in Anaesthesia, Airway management, regional anaesthesia, sedation care and medication error.
