Protect Breastfeeding: A Shared Responsibility

National Breastfeeding Week aims to highlight the huge benefits that breastfeeding can bring to both the health and welfare of babies and mothers. However lactation is a vulnerable time for working mothers who require special support and empowerment to continue breastfeeding.

As a baby friendly accredited hospital, Mediclinic City Hospital is dedicated to support and educate parents about breastfeeding from the very start.

For this year’s National breastfeeding week, from 1st to 7th Nov, we are continuing our efforts in creating awareness and reinforcing the benefits of breastfeeding to wider community.

As a part of this celebration, we are organising the following for the mothers in our community and invite them to join us.

3rd Nov from 10am to 12 noon at Mediclinic City Hospital, Building 37, DHCC, main lobby

In-hospital activation booth
We invite you to join us at our “Breastfeeding awareness booth” organised by our lactation team to learn about breastfeeding and speak to them about your concerns. You will also get a chance to participate in a raffle draw to win a double pump.

4th Nov from 9:30am to 10:30am – virtual session

When it comes breastfeeding, often new mothers find themselves bombarded with all kinds of advice and opinions. Though given with good intentions, not all advice is helpful, and most of it unfortunately spreads confusion and misinformation.

Join us in this virtual session where our lactation consultant will bust some common myths around breastfeeding and will also address common concerns and questions.
