Formerly an Associate Professor at the prestigious Postgraduate Institute of medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India, where he taught postgraduate students for over 18 years, Dr. Vikas has over three decades of experience in the field of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery. As a Specialist ENT Surgeon he has independently performed over 20,000 surgical procedures including sinus surgery, surgery for chronic ear disease, surgery for voice disorders, salivary gland surgery and laser surgery. As a Specialist Plastic Surgeon (Head & Neck) he has performed over 10,000 procedures related to head and neck tumours, trauma of the face and neck, decompression of facial and optic nerves. He also performs reconstructive plastic surgery of head and neck.
Dr. Nehru has been an invited guest speaker at various fora locally and overseas. He has published extensively in various scientific journals. He is also a teacher for environmental epidemiology certified by WHO and UNEP. In pursuit of his interest in health impacts of environment, he published a book titled ‘Global Wireless Spiderweb’’ in 2016. He is a Life member of Association of Otolaryngologists of India, Indian Otology Society and Emirates medial Association.
