Mediclinic hospitals in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain now provide “IFHAS” periodic comprehensive screening services for adult Thiqa cardholders aged 18 and above.
IFHAS, launched by Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, features various tailored health packages for different age groups. These can provide early detection of risk factors and other health issues, and reduce the chance of developing chronic diseases.
What does IFHAS include?
- General health related questionnaire
- Clinical examination that covers the main screening determinants for:
- Cardiovascular disease (CVD) and risk factors such as diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity and smoking history, in addition to abdominal aortic aneurysm screening
- Cancers (breast, cervical, colorectal and lung for smokers and high risk group)
- Musculoskeletal diseases (osteoporosis)
- General mental health
- Oral health
- Senior citizens screening (vision and hearing)
- Health packages according to age group and gender
- Follow up and referral for clinical care
Am I eligible to be enrolled in the IFHAS Periodic Comprehensive Screening programme?
If you are Thiqa insurance card holders and your age is 18 years old and above then you are eligible to be enrolled in IFHAS.
The package and frequency of service will be determined by age and various risk factors.

Process
- The contact centre agent will give you more information about the packages and which Mediclinic facilities provide them
- The contact centre agent will collect your information and share it with the IFHAS Patient Administrator at the Mediclinic facility of your choice
- The IFHAS Patient Administrator will contact you to verify the package, process the needed insurance approvals and arrange your screening appointment
- All screening tests will be done on one day. The IFHAS Patient Administrator will guide you through the steps. Kindly note that all test samples related to your package will have to be collected on the day of your screening appointment
- On the day of your screening appointment, you will first have a consultation with the Family Medicine doctor
- The IFHAS Patient Administrator will assist you in your journey to the respective departments of each screening test
- Once you have completed all your screening tests, the IFHAS Patient Administrator will book your follow-up appointment with the Family Medicine doctor
- Any needed referrals will be arranged after your follow-up appointment, and you will be reminded that you’ll have to come back periodically to repeat your screening as per the Department of Health-Abu Dhabi’s screening guidelines

ويقدم برنامج إفحص، الذي أطلقه مركز أبوظبي للصحة العامة، باقات صحية مختلفة مصممة خصيصاً لمختلف الفئات العمرية. ويمكن أن يوفر ذلك الكشف المبكر عن عوامل الخطر وغيرها من المشكلات الصحية، ويقلل من فرصة الإصابة بالأمراض المزمنة

أمراض القلب والأوعية الدموية وعوامل الخطر مثل مرض السكري وارتفاع ضغط الدم واضطراب شحوم الدم والسمنة وتاريخ التدخين، بالإضافة إلى فحص تمدد الأوعية الدموية في الأبهر البطني
السرطان (الثدي، عنق الرحم، القولون والمستقيم والرئة للمدخنين والفئة المعرضة للخطر)
أمراض الجهاز العضلي الهيكلي (هشاشة العظام)
الصحة النفسية العامة
صحة الفم
فحص كبار السن (الرؤية والسمع)
