We are happy to announce that Mediclinic Middle East will continue to provide your staff medical insurance with DAMAN as our preferred provider.  Your current schedule of benefits will remain unchanged.  Where changes do apply, these will become effective 1 April 2024.

There are some exciting upgrades to the mobile DAMAN application that will allow for more comprehensive visibility of your medical insurance details, benefits, reimbursement claims, approval requests and much more.  Membership cards will only be available in digital format through the DAMAN application.  Your membership number will remain unchanged.  You can find details on how to download the upgraded application available from 1 April here.

Important note on registration details!

To ensure a seamless registration process on the DAMAN application it is critical that you update your personal details as well as those of your dependents on Connect.  Follow these steps to ensure Connect is updated.

Your Benefits:

The details of the policy and the related benefits available to you will be available on AskHRWe do however want to point out a few important facts around your insurance.

Service Provider Network

The Mediclinic Middle East network of hospitals and clinics will remain the preferred, exclusive provider of healthcare services across the different cities.  Coverage outside the MCME network will remain limited to emergencies and services not available through Mediclinic Middle East.

Consultations and co-payments

Consultations through the Mediclinic Care Collaboration Center will carry a 0% co-payment.  Consultations outside of the Care Collaboration Center will carry an AED 25 co-payment whilst in person consultations’ co-payments will remain fixed at AED 50.

Medications

All medications will be dispensed on direct billing from a Mediclinic Middle East pharmacy.  A co-payment of 30% will be applicable to medications with no cap.  There are however exclusions where co-payments will range from 0% to 30%.  We have taken great care in ensuring that the cost of medications are managed whilst at the same time mitigating the financial impact on our staff due to dependency on medications.  It is for this reason that there will be a 0% co-payment on oncology, generics and identified essential medications.  The complete medication list along with relevant co-payments can be found here.

Thanks,
