Is Mediclinic as a group closing?

Mediclinic is not closing, it is transforming and entering a new chapter of growth. We are consolidating Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital into the Airport Road location, where we have invested over AED 120 million to increase capacity, significantly enhance the quality of clinical care and further improve the overall patient experience. This transition is part of Mediclinic's long-term commitment to building a flagship medical campus that delivers world-class healthcare to the Abu Dhabi community.

Is Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital Closing?

Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital is being consolidated with Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital, which is receiving an investment of AED 120 million to significantly enhance the quality of clinical care and the overall patient experience.  Once the transition is completed within the next few months, the Al Noor site will be decommissioned.

Is Mediclinic leaving Abu Dhabi?

No, Mediclinic is not leaving Abu Dhabi.

We remain fully committed to serving the community and investing in the future of healthcare in the capital. As part of this commitment, Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital is being consolidated with the newly expanded Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital, a state-of-the-art medical campus receiving an AED 120 million investment to enhance clinical care and the overall patient experience.

Our presence in Abu Dhabi is not only continuing, it is evolving to offer even better care, facilities and outcomes for all our patients.

Why do you have to decommission Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital?

We are here to serve you with the absolute best care possible. The Al Noor building, while it has great significance as part of Abu Dhabi’s healthcare heritage, has structural constraints which make it increasingly difficult to deliver the elevated experience Mediclinic is committed to. This transition allows us to concentrate resources where we can provide the most meaningful and lasting impact, in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art hospital environment at Airport Road.

Why wasn’t I informed earlier?

We completely understand how important timely communication is when it comes to your health. We wanted to be sure that all details were thoughtfully planned before reaching out. Now that things are confirmed, we are doing everything we can to keep you informed, supported and cared for every step of the way.

What services will Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital offer until the transition is complete?

Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital will continue to operate whilst we complete the transition, although not all services may be available.  Our absolute priority is patient safety and we will review the service schedules and staff availability on a daily basis to ensure this is upheld.  Before visiting the hospital, please call us on 800 2027 to check service availability and to book an appointment.

How long will the transition take?

The transition is planned to be completed in approximately three to six months from now. Until then, some services will remain available, based on clinical planning. You will be informed well in advance if your service or appointment will change. For specific enquiries, please contact us on 800 2027.
