Urology is the branch of medicine that focuses on the urinary tract of males and females, and on the reproductive system of males. The organs covered by urology include the kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra and the male reproductive organs.
The urology department diagnoses, treats and manages patients with the following urological disorders:
- Prostatic diseases (infections of the prostate, enlargement of the prostate in elderly men, early diagnosis of cancer of the prostate)
- Urinary stones (diagnostic and management of stones with latest equipment without surgical cuts)
- Management of male impotence and infertility
- Urinary tract infections
- Birth defects of urinary and genital organs
