Paediatric and NICU services
The birth of a baby is a wonderful yet very complex process. If your baby is born before it is considered full term, the birth is called “premature”. Some of these babies are admitted to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). The NICU unit is crucial as it takes care of babies who require specialised intensive care after birth. Our 16-bed NICU accepts babies from 24 weeks gestation and provides the most advanced level of care from a caring, specialist staff.
The paediatric outpatient clinic runs six days a week. Our Emergency department works round the clock and a qualified paediatrician is available at any time of the day. This service is meant to deal with emergency problems like injuries, breathing difficulty, seizures, high fever, nose bleeds etc.
Those children who are sick and require regular monitoring and care by the medical staff are admitted to the dedicated paediatric inpatient area.
Advanced paediatric services include:
- Paediatric surgery
- Paediatric urology
- Paediatric endocrinology
