The urology department diagnoses, treats and manages patients with the following urological disorders:
- Prostatic diseases (infections of the prostate, enlargement of the prostate in elderly men, early diagnosis of cancer of the prostate)
- Urinary stones (diagnostic and management of stones with latest equipment without surgical cuts)
- Management of male impotence and infertility
- Urinary tract infections
- Birth defects of urinary and genital organs
- Andro-urology
It is equipped with the latest urology equipment including, resectoscopes, ureteroscopes, nephroscopes, C-Arm image intensifier which is a mobile x-ray machine in the operating theatre needed for extraction of kidney and uretric stones through telescopes, and Calcusplit which is one of the latest intracorporeal lithotripters to fragment the stones.
The department also includes a paediatric cystocope and resectoscope whereby infants and children with congenital urethral obstruction can be operated on without any surgical cuts.

- ESWL - Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy
- Urodynamics - uroflowmetry and cystometry which are meant to assess obstruction to urinary flow and functions of the bladder
- Ultrasound - abdomen and transrectal
- Transrectal ultrasound guided gun biopsy
- Flexible cystoscopy
- Endoscopic procedures such as resection of prostate and removal of renal stones
- Ureteroscopy
- Penile implants and acoustic doppler studies
